We aimed to define the vision of the reception of the French "post-Orientalist" novel by Arabic translation. Through this vision, we identified the editorial and translation issues facing this genre of literature. By analyzing the characteristics of Amin Maalouf, Gilbert Sinoué and Mathias Enard novels. we focused on the characteristics that could constitute the essential challenges in the context of Arabic translation. Furthermore, we asked about the impact of the translators' references on their translation and their choices, and if their limits are different when they are faced with a text that deals with their own environment and culture.

Nous avons visé à définir la vision de la réception du roman français « post-orientaliste » par la traduction arabe. À travers cette vision, nous avons identifié les enjeux éditoriaux et traductologiques, face à ce genre de littérature. En analysant les déclencheurs de cette écriture chez Amin Maalouf, Gilbert Sinoué et Mathias Enard, nous nous sommes concentrés sur les caractéristiques qui pourraient constituer les défis essentiels dans le cadre de la traduction arabe. Par ailleurs, nous nous sommes demandés si la formation du traducteur affecte ses choix, et si ses limites sont différentes lorsqu'il se trouve face à un texte qui traite de son propre milieu et de sa propre culture.
