Sonia Goldblum, « Martin Buber, Franz Rosenzweig et le complexe judéo-allemand », Études Germaniques, ID : 10670/1.3hnf9a
The aim of this article is to shed light on how Martin Buber and Franz Rosenzweig dealt with the relationship that German Jews had with non-Jewish Germans. This thematic complex is central to their time and rich for the reflections on German-Jewish identity that characterised the post-World War II years. The present paper is devoted to a legacy left by Rosenzweig to Buber that is reflected in a text by Buber entitled Das Ende der deutsch-jüdischen Symbiose . This text develops a reflection on the relationship between Jews and Germans, whose tragic end it acknowledges. It can be linked to a text by Rosenzweig, entitled “Germanity and Judeity”, which is itself a response, to Cohen’s eminently problematic text, published under this title in 1915.
