Sylvain Boulouque, « Les paradoxes des anarchistes face au sionisme et à la naissance de l'État d'Israël », Archives Juives, ID : 10670/1.3i7ceg
In spite of their tendency towards internationalism and pacifism as a libertarian trend and their antagonism to state as the sole figure of social organization, some anarchists, often Jewish ones but not always, registered a comprehensive interest for Zionism – Bernard Lazare is not the only instance – and the birth of the state of Israel. Some of them even leave their country to settle in « kibboutzim » which they consider as the model of an ideal society. Beyond these statements, this article tries to reach an understanding of how these Jewish anarchists achieve this combination between their own identity and their ideological commitment.
