Le discours de dénonciation de l’émission Loft Story qui s’est développé dans les pages des quotidiens nationaux au printemps 2001 a donné à lire et à observer non pas le seul rejet d’une émission de téléréalité, mais le constat pessimiste d’un monde en mutation, ou plutôt en perdition. La critique de Loft Story s’est prolongée en une sévère diatribe contre la transformation de notre société en une société sans culture ni valeurs, barbare, virtuelle et factice, une société d’exploitation, totalitaire et inhumaine, d’où ont disparu le beau, la décence, la liberté, le droit, la dignité, l’éthique.
