Résumé
Brazil has implemented offensive public policies to support local food systems, since 2003, and fair trade networks, since 2010. These two issues gained precise legal definitions that both frame and stimulate the role of actors : local authorities, associations, businesses. These definitions and their application are based on strong convergences : offensive political vision to reduce inequality, promotion of agro-ecology, openness to social and feminist movements. In the case of local food, the State has also established a financial mechanism of great magnitude. It belongs to the Brazilian civil society to take advantage of this original context to preserve an unparalleled experience, threatened today by the financial crisis and the weakening of the state.
