Le péronisme constitue l’un des sujets les plus abordés dans la littérature politique et sociologique argentine. Dès les années 1960, une grande partie de cette littérature a associé ce mouvement politique à un nom générique : celui de régime populiste ou national populaire. Le cœur de ces analyses a porté sur le rapport privilégié que le péronisme établit avec la figure populaire et la mobilisation que celle-ci véhicule. L’objectif de cet article est de discuter la conceptualisation du « peuple » dans les interprétations du péronisme à travers le prisme du populisme, en la confrontant aux discours des acteurs qui s’identifient au mouvement.
From Peronism to populism : a conceptual conquest of the popular « beast » The subject of Peronism is an all-time favourite in Argentine political and socio-logical literature. Ever since the 1960s, a large part of this literature associates the political movement to a generic name : that of a populist or national-populist regime. The core of these studies concerns the movement’s privileged relationship with the popular figure and the mobilisation that Peron’s figure conveys. The object of this article is to discuss the conceptualisation of the « people » in the interpretations of Peronism, both by comparing it to the speeches of political actors who have become identified with the Peronist movement and through the prism of populism.
Del peronismo al populismo : la busca conceptual del « gordo animal » popular El peronismo constituye uno de los temas más abordados por la ciencia política y la sociología política argentinas. Desde los años ‘60, gran parte de esta literatura asoció este movimiento político a un nombre genérico : el de régimen populista o nacional popular. El eje de estos análisis se situó en el vínculo privilegiado que este movimiento estableció con la figura popular y la movilización que ésta vehicula. El objetivo de este artículo es discutir el concepto de “pueblo” que se desprende de estas interpretaciones que utilizan el prisma del populismo, confrontándola al discurso de los actores que se identifican con este movimiento político.
