Արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրներում հայերը հաստատվել են պատմական անցյալում։ Այսօր արևելաեվրոպական երկրների հայ համայնքներն ընդգրկում են ինչպես ավանդական, այնպես էլ ժամանակակից սփյուռքը։ Ավանդական սփյուռք ասելով հիմնականում նկատի ունենք Հայոց ցեղասպանության հետևանքով Արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրներում հայտնված հայությանը։ Ժամանակակից սփյուռքը կազմում են հետխորհրդային շրջանում Հայաստանից գաղթած մեր հայրենակիցները։ Գիրքն անդրադառնում է Արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրների հայերի ներկայացվածությանը և ակտիվությանը վիրտուալ սոցիալական ցանցերում, հայ համայնքների մտավոր ներուժին, ինչպես նաև նրանց տեղեկատվական և կազմակերպչական ռեսուրսներին։ Հետազոտությունը ներառում է Արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրների մտավորական հայերի, հայ համայնքային կառույցների և ԶԼՄ-ի մասին պատմական և արդի տվյալներ։

Armenians have settled in Eastern Europe long ago. Currently the Armenian communities in Eastern Europe include both traditional and modern Diasporas. By traditional Diaspora we mean primarily the Armenians who appeared in Eastern Europe as a result the Armenian Genocide. Modern Diaspora consists of our compatriots who left Armenia in the post-Soviet period. This book is devoted to the representativeness and activity of the Armenians from Eastern Europe in the social networks, intellectual potential of the Armenian communities as well as their informational and organizational resources. The research contains historical and contemporary information about intellectual Armenians from Eastern Europe, Armenian community organizations and mass media.
