Stefano Petrucciani et al., « Entre Marx et Leopardi. La recherche de Cesare Luporini », Actuel Marx, ID : 10670/1.413eoz
In the thirties Cesare Luporini was both an anti-fascist and a student of Heidegger. The concept of human finitude was to remain central to his thought. During the Resistance period he joined the Comrnunists. From 1960-1970 he gradually called into question the historicist interpretation of Marxism. He did not try to evade the crisis of Marxism. In 1983 he proposed to rediscover a Marx beyond the different existing Marxisms and undertook a study of Marx's politics. In his final years, he returned to Giacomo Leopardi and to the fundamental problems of existence.
