Résumé
While worlds may change rapidly, the categories used to describe them are often much more viscous. The adjectives applied to wild or domestic animals have become increasingly problematic. To replace this polarity inherited from a mostly disappeared rural world, the author proposes an alternative – for heuristics aim – which would distinguish whether animals rather are material- living or rather person-living. Superimposed on the previous one (because things do not change at the same time), this categorization would render a more complete account of our relationship with all living beings.
