Psychanalyse et normativité : la question cisgenre

The authors propose an analysis of the relations between norms and psychoanalysis based on a discussion about the status given to transsexuality by the psychoanalyt- ical knowledge. Methodologically, we discuss the definition of “cisgender” – i.e. the opposite of “transgenre” – not as synonym of “normal”, but rather as an identity’s construction and a relation to the gendered body as much problematic as the ones supposed at trans subjects. Thereby, considering the works of Judith Butler, Georges Canguilhem, Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan, we work through the hypothesis of a sexual identity normality’s inexistence. Given that all speaking being joys of a libidinal body, nonetheless submitted to gendered normative canvas, there would be never a coincidence between the real of the drive, the ego’s unified specular image and the signifiers that mark the sexed body – whether at trans or cis subjects.

Les auteurs proposent une analyse des rapports entre la psychanalyse et la norme à partir d’un examen critique du statut donné à la transsexualité à l’intérieur du savoir analytique. Méthodologiquement, on part de la définition de « cisgenre » – c’est-à- dire l’opposé de « transsexuel » –, non comme synonyme de « normal », mais comme construction d’une identité et d’un rapport au corps sexué autant problématique que celle supposé chez les sujets trans. Ainsi, à partir des réflexions de Judith Butler, de Georges Canguilhem, de Sigmund Freud et de Jacques Lacan on travaille l’hypothèse selon laquelle il n’y a pas une normalité possible d’identité sexuelle. Étant donné que tout être parlant jouit d’un corps libidinal, cependant soumis au cadre normatif du genre, il n’existerait jamais de coïncidence entre le réel de la pulsion, l’image spécu- laire unifiée du moi et les signifiants qui marquent le corps sexué – que ce soit chez les sujets cis, ou chez les sujets trans.
