Last night a trawler destroyed my gill nets. I was quite upset but he told me that I did not have a light on my boat so it was my fault that he could not see me. I reminded him that trawling in the bay is against the law and that I cannot afford a light for my boat. He was sympathetic but did not offer to do anything. I need to find money to get a light for when I fish, although I am not sure this will help in all situations. Trawlers pay no attention to us, the poor fishers (Sok 2004). Six y...
