Le courant « anti-tech », entre anarcho-primitivisme et néo-luddisme

Face au développement de la technologie dans notre société, une série de mouvements que l’on nomme « anti-tech » proposent une critique radicale de l’usage de la technologie. Théorisé par John Zerzan, le courant anarcho-primitiviste en fait partie. Regroupant plusieurs milliers de militants aux États-Unis, il a pour perspective l’abolition de l’État et la destruction de la technologie, prônant un retour au niveau technologique précédant la révolution néolithique. L’article est une analyse des discours et de l’imaginaire de ce courant, et de sa déclinaison française, le groupe « Pièces et main-d’œuvre ».

With the exponential development of technology, a series of movements labelled as “anti-tech” develop radical critique of technology. Theorized by John Zerzan, the anarcho-primitivist movement is one of them. Bringing together thousands of activists in the United States, its perspectives are abolition of the state and the destruction of technology. It advocates a return to the technological level we knew before the Neolithic revolution. The article is an analysis of the discourses of this current, and of its French counterpart, the group Pièces et main-d’œuvre.
