Louis Pasteur in Lille, Hauts-de-France (1854-1857) : contribution of the famous French scientist to the city and its region – A delocalized session of the French Society of Pharmacy History was held in Lille from 13 to 15 June 2019. The same year, the 120th anniversary of the Pasteur Institute of Lille was also celebrated. On this occasion, it seemed appropriate to remind that Louis Pasteur spent three years in the capital city of the French Flanders and that beyond the Institute that bears his name, Louis Pasteur left an indelible mark on the city and its region, both economically and scientifically.

Une séance délocalisée de la Société d’histoire de la pharmacie s’est déroulée à Lille du 13 au 15 juin 2019, année des cent vingt ans de l’Institut Pasteur de Lille. À cette occasion, il nous a paru pertinent de rappeler que Louis Pasteur a passé trois ans dans la capitale de la Flandre française et, qu’au-delà de l’Institut qui porte son nom, il a laissé une empreinte indélébile tant économique que scientifique à la ville et à sa région.
