"The determinants of employment spatial structure are related toproximity and accessibility agglomeration economies that exist inseveral zones of the city. From this intra-metropolitan perspective, thispaper presents a static and dynamic analysis of the employmentspatial distribution of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region in 1986 an2001. The aim is to determine empirically which types of agglomerationeconomies exist and how their impact on the spatial structure hasevolved during the fifteen years considered"
