Beaucoup de questions ecclésiologiques actuellement discutées dans le cadre du dialogue œcuménique, en particulier avec les orthodoxes, ou faisant l’objet de recherches dans chacune des confessions chrétiennes, sont des questions que l’on peut appeler de « relation » : quelle relation entre la primauté et la conciliarité ?, quelle relation entre les deux sacerdoces participés du Christ ?, quelle relation entre l’Église en son entier qui confesse la foi et le service magistériel ?, etc. En amont des choix légitimes d’écoles en lesquelles s’accomplit la recherche théologique, il y a la question du « point de départ », du type d’approche adopté. Cette contribution présente deux modèles généraux, celui par l’ équilibre et celui par l’ harmonie. Ces deux voies sont bien distinctes et conduisent à des propositions fort différentes.

Many of the ecclesiological issues that are currently being discussed in the context of ecumenical dialogue (especially with the Orthodox Churches), or that are the subject of research within each Christian confession, are issues that we can call “questions of relation”. What is the relation between Primacy and Conciliarity ? What is the relation between the two ways to participate in the priesthood of Christ ? What is the relation between the confession of faith of the entire Church and the service of the Magisterium ? Before the legitimate choices of each School, within which theological research is carried out, there is the question of the “starting point”, the type of approach that is adopted. This contribution presents two general models, that of balance and that of harmony. These two paths are very different and lead to very different proposals.
