Résumé
This article deals with retrospective analogies used by Robert Antelme, Tadeusz Borowski, Imre Kertész, and Ana Novac, who saw in the long history of humanity occurrences of Auschwitz before Auschwitz. We outline the stakes of this approach, which consists in revisiting history in the light of the Shoah or of Nazi terror and question the implications of analogical thinking on these anachronistic constructions.
