The aim of this article is to describe some pottery cherds from Hira, in Iraq. The pieces were collected by a french archaeological mission in Iraq in 1990. Some material, found by David Talbot-Rice in the 1930's and stored in the Ashmolean Museum of Oxford were also analysed. There was at Hira a workshop producing moulded, incised and barbotine applied wares in the 7th - 8th c.v
