Between the ideal of well-being at work and the stigmatization of psychological fragility, the significance of work and its effects on mental health seem to be taking a back seat. Instead, expressions of forms of “suffering at work” abound: overwork, underemployment, individualization, and so on. This phenomenon bears witness to the rise of ill-being at work and its new set of attendant pathologies.
