The myth of work with familiesThe theme and concern about having to achieve "work " with "families" appeared as a major concern of the social and educational institutions in the '80s. This concern expresses at the same time the difficulty of these institutions to take into account and the incapacity to answer the evolution of their public which is more and more struck by precariousness. Since the institutional concerns, coining the term «work with families» has become a strong temptation.

Le thème et la préoccupation de devoir accomplir « un travail » avec les « familles » est apparu en tant que préoccupation majeure des institutions sociales et éducatives, au cours des années 1980. Cette préoccupation exprime à la fois une difficulté de ces institutions de prendre en compte et de répondre aux évolutions de leurs publics de plus en plus frappés par la précarité d’une part. La tentation est alors grande de définir un « travail auprès des familles », uniquement depuis les préoccupations institutionnelles.
