A Pascalian meditation on lockdown : “All of humanity’s problems. . .”

In this situation of enforced lockdown, we are compelled to rethink all our relationships and actions. Many of our concerns then appear secondary, and the essential questions we were avoiding become more pressing. Reading Pascal, who encourages us to learn how to sit alone in a room, even if this reading does not console us, enlightens us on what we are running away from and what we are missing.
