Résumé 0

This article focuses on women’s antifeminist discourse online in terms of its potential for illiberalism. It argues that the “manopshere” and the pro-life movement constitute two distinct and complementary spheres of antifeminism which seek to appeal to the younger generations through their defense of universal values such as justice and life for all. The case of the website WomenAgainstFeminism.com shows that the men’s rights movement has a significant influence on young women who associate feminism with an intolerant and often man-hating movement. Our analysis is based on a corpus of 200 videos posted by activists on the site, videos where these young women denounce feminism while offering a mosaic of portraits that illustrate the varied and complex genealogies of antifeminism.
