Résumé 0

French television has cast the Occitania region as the setting for three soap operas, currently broadcast during prime time (Demain Nous Appartient — TF1, Sète, 2017; Un Si Grand Soleil — France 2, Montpellier, 2018; Ici Tout Commence — TF1, Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze, 2020). We will first analyze how the French territory is portrayed in these television programs. We will then analyze the implementation of guided tours dedicated to these soap operas. Based on observations of these tours and interviews with the participants, we will investigate how these “landscape-spaces” / “spaces to live” are portrayed and how the different actors involved construct a singular relationship with the French territory.
