Les rapports sociaux de travail sont aussi des rapports sociaux de sexe. Quelle place revient au corps dans les différences entre hommes et femmes vis-à-vis de la souffrance au travail, d’une part, de la maîtrise technique d’autre part, de la division sexuelle du travail, enfin ? L’analyse clinique de l’expérience subjective du travail (psychodynamique et psychopathologie du travail) suggère que, si le corps est bien en cause dans les rapports sociaux de domination, ce n’est pas en raison des différences de biodisponibilité (pourtant substantielles) selon le sexe. Ce serait plutôt le fait de formes de mobilisation psychique du corps au travail, fortement différenciées selon le genre (bien que non substantielles). L’interprétation de ces données implique une discussion sur le statut théorique assigné à la notion de corps pour rendre compte des rapports entre subjectivité, travail et genre.
