Résumé
In the middle of six-weeks of radiation therapy for early-stage breast cancer, I find some of Kathy Acker’s papers and personal objects, including a working pen, which have been lost in her writing desk for over twenty years. I’ve had the desk in my basement for the last ten. My basement is also the HQ for Les Figues Press, the feminist press I co-founded with Vanessa Place in 2005. My cancer is also in my left breast, the same spot I had biopsied in 2013 while I was writing an essay about Acker’s Don Quixote.
