The article presents the architectural heritage of the southeastern and eastern provinces of historical Armenia: Nakhichevan and Artsakh. This heritage was completely destroyed in Nakhichevan, mainly at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, and it also suffered serious damage in Artsakh, especially after the Azerbaijani attack in autumn 2020 and the ethnic cleansing of September 2023. The general characteristics of the monuments are first examined, in particular the technical aspects and the symbolism of the forms. The article then reviews the main stages in the history of this architecture, from the early Christian period to the 19th century.

L'article présente le patrimoine architectural des provinces sud-est et est de l'Arménie historique : Nakhitchévan et Artsakh. Ce patrimoine a été entièrement détruit au Nakhitchévan, principalement à la fin du XXe siècle et au début du XXIe siècle, et a aussi subi de graves dommages en Artsakh, notamment après l'attaque azerbaïdjanaise de l'automne 2020 et le nettoyage ethnique de septembre 2023. Sont d'abord examinées les caractéristiques générales des monuments, notamment les aspects techniques et la symbolique des formes. L'article passe ensuite en revue les principales étapes de l'histoire de cette architecture, depuis la période paléochrétienne jusqu'au XIXe siècle.
