Maurice Potron est un Père jésuite polytechnicien dont les publications s’échelonnent de 1911 à 1936 et dont l’apport nous semble considérable et pratiquement inconnu. L’apport de l’auteur se situe aussi en mathématique (travaux sur les matrices à éléments non-négatifs précédant les travaux de Frobenius) mais c’est l’aspect économique qui va être privilégié ici : première construction d’un tableau d’échanges inter-industriel simplifié et surtout première utilisation du théorème de Perron-Frobenius dès avant la première guerre mondiale.

Maurice Potron is a Jesuit polytechnician who made publications between 1911 and 1936 ; his work seems both considerable and quite unknown. His publications concern also mathematics (non-negative matrices preceding Frobenius work) but this paper will be mainly concerned with économics; Potron made the first construction of a simplified input-output table and over-all he was the first to propose application of Perron-Frobenius theorem to economic analysis.
