Introduction The excavation of the building complex, located to the north-west of the citadel at Mycenae, was first undertaken by Papadimitriou and Petsas during several months in 1950 and 1951, uncovering a series of rooms filled with ceramics (Papadimitriou & Petsas 1950; 1951).
