This paper deals with the system of sustainable development indicators developed in Wallonia. The first section of the article compares a number of foreign indicator systems that inspired the work carried out in the Walloon context. The second section describes the first exercises in setting down sustainable development indicators in Wallonia. The third section presents the indicators developed in the framework of the preparation of the second Walloon sustainable development strategy.
