Résumé
From spring 2020 to summer 2021, I accompanied Baba Fotso Toukam Junior in the writing of his migration narrative from Cameroon to the Basque Country (Sur le chemin de ses rêves, éditions Dacres, 2021). In this article, I revisit our collaboration. I argue that his speech invites to be treated as something other than a narrative informing about his migratory experience. It is also a performative word that acts on the representations, notably of the category “migrant”.
