This paper discusses the infrastructure developed for the collaborative semantic annotation of music scores encoded in Music Encoding Initiative (MEI) format. The project addresses the need to annotate musical elements beyond what is explicitly encoded in MEI, such as dissonances, fundamental pitches, and cadences. The proposed solution involves a system that supplements MEI encoding using Semantic Web technologies, including the creation of unique identifiers for all MEI elements and the conversion of the XML structure into RDF triplets. The infrastructure also includes a system for user authentication, a catalog of analyzable scores with metadata, and an ergonomic annotation interface.
