Résumé
Three interlaced hypotheses are developed here: firstly, that there is a Lacan effect; secondly, that the invention of the a object is largely at the root of this; and thirdly, that this invention can be considered as one of the most tangible, or if one prefers sensitive, effects of Lacan’s desire.
