À partir du récit de Melville, et d’une vie professionnelle à l’hôpital et en pratique libérale, je reviens sur ma confrontation au suicide de certains de mes patients et son cortège de questions sur la mort qu’on se donne.
In this paper I take a narrative by Melville as my starting point and, in combination with elements from my professional practice in hospitals and the wider community, I readdress my confrontation with the suicide of patients and the litany of questions relating to death that this raises.
