Éric Canobbio, « Construire un dialogue social territorial : l'intervention syndicale en besoin de territoires », HAL-SHS : géographie, ID : 10670/1.8abpp6
Territory as an object of union struggle has been quite absent in the various demands set forth by trade unions. However, this subject has been the main focus of the Prospective and Territories training course held since 2008 by the CGT trade union (Confédération générale du travail). The object of this training course is to build a new praxis of trade union intervention through the fostering of territorial social dialogue. Contrary to an industrial type logic or a defensive posture, re-thinking the local territory through a global union project in which local authorities, industries, public services, professional training in the housing and transport sectors act together in the name of attractivity remains an innovation of the trade unions. The first results of this are to be seen in the hydrogen issue in the Dunkerque region and on the future of the “plastic valley” of the Oyonnax region in the Ain department.
