The study of rural settlements in two sectors of the current Côte-d'Or department, the region of Dijon and that of Châtillon-sur-Seine, is of twofold interest. On the one hand, the natural landscapes, both geomorphological and pedological, are very varied. On the other hand, the study of protohistoric and ancient occupations in these natural landscapes has benefited over the last few decades from different but complementary methodological approaches that renew the vision that could be made of them.
