Résumé
This article aims to deploy the concept of dismediation proposed by Mara Mills and Jonathan Sterne to identify a field of research at the crossroads of disability studies and media theories. Dismediation is described here as an epistemological posture or method capable of disabling universalist media histories and the representation systems of handicap on which they are based, by proposing to conceive disability as a co-constitutive element of mediation and communication.
