"This is a predoctoral article belonging to “The genesis of the Andalusian autonomy in the context of the democratic transition” thesis. His author deeply knows about the characteristics of the mass media during the process of the Spanish democratic restoration (1975-1982). Studies about the written press during this period are exiguous, which shows the need to recuperate, study and analyze this relevant period of our recent history. Here we study El Socialista, which from 1886, was the spokesorgan of the Spanish Workers Socialist Party (PSOE), in connection with the content and treatment given about Andalucía, specifically between 1977 and 1982. This period is known as the andalusian autonomist sexennial, a parallel and complementary process to that of the democratic transition. Together with the pertinent analysis of this paper and of the period involved, bibliographic, onomastic and thematical indexes, for the very first time, bring forward and put in order the political publication to the andalusian actual context."
