En relisant l’analyse de la jeune homosexuelle de Freud, nous distinguerons avec Lacan l’ acting out de l’acte et du passage à l’acte. Nous illustrerons par une vignette clinique que l’acting out révèle la défaillance de l’analyste en place de l’Autre. L’ acting out ne peut être interprété mais nécessite une intervention de l’analyste.

As we read the analysis of the young homosexual woman by Freud, we will set apart the act and the acting out behaviour from the acting out as defined by Lacan. We will illustrate with a small case-study that the acting out proves to be related to the analyst’s failure to stand as the Other. The acting out cannot be interpreted but needs an intervention from the analyst.
