Partant du constat de la violence inhérente à toute conceptualisation et à toute utilisation des concepts, l’article en dévoile la forme radicale prise avec le masochisme, concept élaboré à partir d’une série de désappropriations. Le terme doit son émergence à des histoires de pères et quelques sacrifices, plus ou moins consentis, depuis l’histoire singulière de Sacher-Masoch à son importation dans le champ de la psychiatrie, jusqu’à son élaboration autour du fantasme de fustigation et sa place dans la relation Freud-Anna. Autant de plans qui s’interpellent et se répondent.

Starting out from the observation of the violence inherent to any conceptualization and to any use of concepts, this article unveils the radical form taken with masochism, a concept elaborated from a series of disappropriations. The term owes its emergence to stories of fathers and some sacrifices, which were consented to in varying degrees: from the singular story of Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, to its importation into the field of psychiatry, and its elaboration around the fantasy of being beaten and its place in the Freud-Anna relationship. So many levels that question and respond to each other.
