Fabio Antonialli et al., « Which are the governance models for urban mobility scenarios including autonomous vehicles? », Revue d'économie industrielle, ID : 10670/1.94c259...
In the context of the urban mobility revolution, autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) represent a technological breakthrough that will affect the traditional urban transport model. In addition, the spread of practices related to the economy of functionality, the strengthening of the sharing economy, and the increasing digitization of activities are opening the way to business models that are developing in the form of platforms. By characterizing the platform concept for different future scenarios of autonomous urban mobility, this study aims to analyse the most appropriate governance structures for each mobility scenario by identifying their coordination mechanisms. To determine the governance structure of a platform for each scenario, we organized focus groups that identified and mapped out the asset transactions between platform actors under the different scenarios. Thus, in accordance with the theory of transaction costs, we define the most suitable coordination modes between platform actors according to urban mobility scenarios integrating autonomous vehicles. Two factors will be considered: the role of the transport regulatory authority within the platform and the data protection policy.JEL classification: D86, J68, L14, L22, L91, N70, 018, R40.
