Kouakou Valentin KRA et al., « PROBLÉMATIQUE DE LA NON-ADOPTION DES TECHNIQUES AGRONOMIQUES EN MILIEU RURAL IVOIRIEN : CAS DES PRODUCTEURS D’ANACARDE DANS LE DÉPARTEMENT DE BOUAKÉ », HAL-SHS : sociologie, ID : 10670/1.9cpv6q
With the aim of promoting agriculture, the Ivorian State has favored the intervention of management structures, including ANADER in rural areas. One of the missions of this structure is popularization of agronomic techniques through advice and training of farmers to improve the productivity of their farms as well as their income. However, beyond the comparative advantages presented by the techniques recommended by ANADER, it is clear that producers of cashew nuts from Brobo, Zougban and Sarakakro in the department of Bouaké are reluctant to adopt them. Through this article, it is a question of explaining and understanding the factors of non-adoption of agronomic techniques. For this purpose, methodological individualism and the theory of habitus served as the theoretical basis for the study. While mobilizing the mixed approach, an interview guide and a questionnaire and direct observation made it possible to collect field data. On the analysis, it is noted that modern farming techniques are sources of social upheaval and present requirements that are not controlled by farmers. By referring to their rational calculations and their habits, they opt for security research and implement strategies forcapturing land.
