Collection of audio-recorded English translations of face-to-face semi-structured interviews carried out in Kachin State, Myanmar during 2018-2019, as part of the GCRF Drugs and (dis)order project (grant ES/P011543/1). The purpose of the interviews is to understand how illicit drugs and related violence affect communities and livelihoods in the Myanmar borderland of Kachin. For the majority of the 261 interviews conducted in 2018 and 194 in 2019 textual transcripts, English summaries and / or English translations exist, which are available via the UK Data Service (https://dx.doi.org/10.5255/UKDA-SN-855965 and https://dx.doi.org/10.5255/UKDA-SN-855966). For 3 interviews in 2018 and 14 interviews in 2019, only these audio-recorded translations are available in English. The datalists indicate which materials exist for each interview.
