Remonter jusqu’aux racines du signifiant phobique, c’est tenter de saisir le passage du vide au trait qui inaugure le procès scriptural de la phobie. Pour cerner le « presque rien » qui inscrit cette coupure, le travail de la cure opère à la limite entre imaginaire et réel : on explore l’intersection de la spéculation et de l’observation clinique, que tout semble séparer. Qu’est-ce qui fait la radicalité du questionnement phobique ? Sa critique de la représentation (Vorstellung), mais plus encore sa déconstruction de l’espace perspectif, centré par un point de fuite. Il lui substitue un espace imbriqué, disjoint, non géométrisable, sans profondeur – fondé sur un emboîtement, une mise en abyme. Apparaît ainsi, sous-jacente, une structure logique d’inclusion, qui traduit dans la clinique que la spatialité phobique est reliée à l’inclusion du sujet dans la jouissance maternelle. Ce repérage conduit à se demander si, dans la phobie, ce n’est pas le comptage logique du sujet qui est en cause.

This identification leads one to wonder whether in the case of phobia it is not the logical counting of the subject that is in question.
