Soulignons d’abord que les logiques organisationnelles s’expriment souvent au travers de mythes rationnels comme avec la qualité totale. Le vocabulaire organisationnel qui sert de référence au mythe est représentatif des tensions propres à la substance organisationnelle concernée, comme pour ce qui est des catégories du lien de subordination au travers du mythe rationnel de la qualité totale. L’argumentation de ce texte est la suivante : après avoir rappelé les fondements de ce qu’est un mythe puis de s’intéresser aux fondements des mythes organisationnels, il est ensuite plus précisément question du mythe rationnel de la qualité totale dont on verra les éléments constitutifs, la chronologie puis les auteurs fétiches.

The rational myth of total qualityLet us at first underline that organizational logics are often described as rational myths as it is the case with the rational myth of total quality. The organizational vocabulary, which serves as reference to this myth is representative of tensions inherent to the organizational substance, as it works for the myth of total quality. The argumentation of this text is following this argumentation: after having reminded the foundation of a myth, it is then question of the rational myth of total quality according to its constituents, its chronology and its iconic authors.
