The Bellevue neighborhood in Brest (France, Brittany) is a priority urban development zone. Built from the beginning of the 1960s to the 1980s, it is well connected to the natural environment and the city center, provided with a diversity of private and social housing, numerous facilities and employment. The study of this area, along with the collected words of its inhabitants, allow us to shade the label of ghettos these kind of neighborhoods often have, without denying their difficulties.

Le quartier Bellevue à Brest est une « Zone à urbaniser par priorité » (ZUP). Construit à partir des années 1960, il présente la particularité d'être bien inséré dans l'environnement naturel et le tissu urbain de la ville, à proximité du centre et des emplois. L'étude de cette ZUP et la parole donnée à ses habitants permettent de nuancer les clichés habituellement accolés à ce type de quartier, sans en nier les difficultés.
