Rapid population growth is a major concern of the world today. This demographicdynamic has impacts on the economies of developing countries, more particularly the Sahelian countries where natural resources are increasingly scarce. Thus, it is in this context that this study will analyze the impacts of demographic pressure on the dynamics of land use in one of the most densely populated regions of Niger. She will be particularly interested in the different changes that this has brought about within the different land use units. The analysis of statistical data on the population made it possible to understand the evolution of the population, which is growing at a very rapid pace. It also allowed us to show that the area is heavily inhabited through the production of density maps. Interpretations of land use maps produced using satellite images over two (2) periods (1986 and 2018) made it possible to observe the impacts of demographic dynamics on land use. The results of this study show a total disappearance of fallow land to the detriment of cultivated areas and dwellings.
