Résumé
Yves Ternon dedicates his article to the comparison of the genocidal processes regarding Armenia and the Shoah. Convinced that history can only be comparative, he reviews the question of motivation, decision making, planning and execution (even negation) in the two tragedies. He also questions the development of the notion of crime against humanity, which is inseparable from the Armenian tragedy. Because comparison is an historical and civic imperative, Yves Ternon pleads for a parallel study, without trying to compare between the varions victims.
