Résumé
We will soon celebrate the anniversary of Blaise Pascal’s birth. But do we know exactly who this author of the Grand Siècle is? A Christian? A Jansenist? A moralist? A dark and despairing denouncer of human vanity and comedy? If we try to read Pascal’s Thoughts in a different way, to discover a philosophy that is neither tragic nor secondary, neither conventional nor submissive, but profoundly original and unclassifiable. Pascal does not belong to any school, nor to any church.
