ARUN KUMAR ACHARYA, « The Influence of Female Age at Marriage on Fertility and Child Loss in India », Trayectorias, ID : 10670/1.a578sx
"Using data from the 1998-99 National Family Health Survey-2, India, this paper attempts to investigate the relationship between the age at marriage on fertility and child loss in two socioculturally different states of India: Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. In the research, I have used the number of children born as a measure of fertility, which shows that lower age at marriageresults in higher fertility and child loss. The result from multivariate analysis indicates that age at marriage increases with higher socioeconomic conditions. The study yielded aninverse relationship between the place of residence, education, household standard of living, and child loss."
