Résumé
The COVID-19 pandemic shone a light on society’s shadow workers, lending ethical and political substance to roles that once often passed unnoticed. After this extraordinary turn of events, we have a new opportunity to stand up for the caring professions and those who “take care” in a wider sense. In fact, the moment demands it. All the ideas that were ridiculed a decade ago are reappearing like so many unlikely boomerangs, about to hit us square in the face.
