The affirmation of a secular project for the integration of European cultural diversity, What is our European identity ? Is there a need to define ourselves ?... Any attempt to answer these questions leads to a reflection on the European « identity » and « culture », a reflection that may permit us to understand our past in an open and critical manner, taking into consideration the particularities of each nation in order to achieve a European identity that adapts itself to the evolutions on a planetary level.
